Colour beams - crochet shawl
In this shawl designed by EclatDuSoleil, colour stripes worked horizontally create a vertical effect, with stripes beaming out from the center of the shawl.
Besides the technical aspect, fun and interesting to learn, you have an almost infinite choice of colour combinations using two yarns.
The shawl in the photos was worked in fingering weight yarns from the designer's own stash. For the solid-coloured vertical beams, you will need approx. 220m/240yds, for example, 2 balls of fingering weight merino. For the multicoloured background, you will need approx. 525m/575yds, for example, 2 balls of Zauberball 100. You can, of course, also work a solid-coloured background with 3 balls of fingering weight merino.
Suggested hook size: 3.5 mm (US E-4).
This product contains only the pattern for the shawl, available as a downloadable pdf-file.
