Capelette will cover your shoulders all year round - worked in cotton for summer and in alpaca or merino for winter. The simple sections in double crochet grow from neck to hem, where a border in arches gives a final, elegant touch. The same arch motif finishes the small collar in beauty. Capelette is designed by Annette Petavy.

This capelet is worked from the neck down for the main part. For the collar you will start again from the neck, working into the remaining loops of the start chain. The garment closes with a button at the neck.

The pattern is written and completed by a chart for the border.

For my first version of Capelette, I used 3 balls of organic cotton. The second version, slightly smaller, uses 3 balls of Mini Mochi. The buttons are available in the shop.

Recommended hook: 3.5 mm (US E-4) or the size needed to get gauge.

Gauge (solid dc's):
Mini Mochi: 19 dc = 10 cm (4"), 12 rows = 10 cm (4")
Organic cotton: 19 dc = 11 cm (4.25"), 10 rows = 10 cm (4").
