A striped life - crochet shawls
"A striped life" is a collection of small shawls designed by EclatDuSoleil/Hélène Marcy.
For these shawls, Hélène offers us three different borders, to be combined with a center worked in thin airy stripes. The choice of colours and the border variations give you the opportunity to crochet your own unique shawl.
The shawls are crocheted in fingering weight yarn.
You could choose to use the fingering weight merino, the Zauberball 100 or Balayage. For summer, the organic cotton would be perfect.
Approximate yarn quantities:
For the green shawl: 230 m/250 yds of colour A (stripes) and 550 m/600 yds of colour B (border).
For the yellow shawl: 220 m/240 yds of colour A (stripes) and 360 m/395 yds of colour B (border).
For the violet shawl: 350 m/380 yds of colour A and 340 m/370 yds in colour B.
Recommended hook sizes: 3 and 3.5 mm (US C-2 or D-3 and E-4). I suggest you try a 4 mm (US G-6).
The pattern is detailed, with step-by-step photos and a chart for the border of the green shawl.
This product contains only the pattern for the shawls, available as a downloadable pdf-file.
