EclatDuSoleil/Hélène Marcy designed Guirlande to showcase a superb border found in an old American book.
This crescent-shaped shawlette, or large scarf (size: 190 cm x 37 cm/75" x 14.5") is worked from one tip to the other.
The beautiful border is worked at the same time as the body of the shawlette. It includes two motifs that evolve at separate paces. This means that Guirlande is an interesting project for a slightly more experienced crocheter.
Suggested hook: 3.5 mm (US E-4).
You will need approx. 800 m / 880 yds of a fingering weight yarn. Guirlande can be worked in fingering weight alpaca, fingering weight merino, silk and baby camel or, for a delicate version, in laceweight alpaca .
This product contains only the pattern for the shawlette, available as a downloadable pdf-file.
