Marie-Galante, crochet stole
This stole is your opportunity to discover a unique stitch pattern: chevrons on the diagonal. Increases and decreases at the beginning and end of each row create waves that seem to flow to the shore in this deceptively simple-looking pattern. Marie-Galante is a design by Annette Petavy.
Marie-Galante is worked from one end to the other. The finished and blocked stole measures approx 179 x 32 cm / 70.5" x 12.5".
The pattern contains both charts and written instructions.
The stole in the photos was worked with 1 ball of Scheepjes Whirl yarn. This yarn can be replaced with 1,000 m/1,095 yds of another fingering weight cotton blend yarn.
Hook: 3 mm (US C-2 or D) or the size needed to get gauge.
Gauge: 30 sts (= 3 repeats of the chevron pattern) = 14 cm/5.5"; 10 rows = 10.5 cm/4" after blocking
This product contains only the pattern for the design, sold as a downloadable pdf file.
