Knitted legwarmers - pattern and recipe
With this pattern, you will learn how to knit legwarmers! The pattern details how to make these legwarmers in the Zauberball 100 yarn, but it also includes a "recipe" on how to knit legwarmers for any calf with the yarn of your choice. A design/idea by Annette Petavy.
The legwarmers are worked in the round. The pattern includes instructions for 3 sizes, for a calf circumference of 34 – 38 – 42 cm (13.5" – 15" – 16.5"), as well as an explanation on how to adapt to other calf sizes.
The legwarmers in the photos were knit with 1 ball of Zauberball 100. You can substitute 400 m of another fingering weight wool yarn, knitting to the same gauge.
Needle: A 3 mm (US 2 or 3) circular needle, 30 cm (12") long or 100 cm (40") long if working in magic loop, or a set of double-pointed needles in the same size. Adapt your needle size if necessary to get gauge.
Gauge: 26 sts x 40 rounds in stockinette stitch worked in the round = 10 cm (4"). The pattern includes instructions on how to adapt to a different gauge.
This pattern is free when purchased at the same time as at least 1 ball of Zauberball 100. Make sure to put the pattern and the Zauberball 100 in your cart at the same time, so that the discount applies at checkout.
This product contains only the pattern for the design, sold as a downloadable pdf file.
