In garter stitch, welts and lace, EclatDuSoleil continues to explore knitting with her shawlette Pointue. A curved shape that will easily settle on your shoulders, a distinctive border and a polished finish with a knitted-on I-cord along the upper edge - you can't ask for much more!

Pointue is knitted as a "baktus", from one side tip to the other, back and forth in rows. The border is knitted at the same time as the rest of the shawl and shaped with short-rows. At the end, the only finishing you need to do is the applied I-cord.

The pattern is both written and charted.

Pointue is knitted with 400 m (440 yds)  / 100 g fingering weight yarn, such as the fingering weight merino.

Recommended needle size : 3.5 mm (US E-4). You can use either straights or a circular needle.
