More info

EclatDuSoleil closes her trilogy of shawls in yak down with this beautiful piece: Triplet. Based on a simple, yet effective, traditional Estonian lace pattern, this shawl combines elegant openwork with cozy garter stitch.

This triangular shawl is worked top-down, starting at the center back, in one single piece.

The lace pattern is explained through a chart only. All other instructions are written.

EclatDuSoleil worked her shawl using 3 balls of yak down and around 15 g of laceweight wool for the blue stripes in the border. The laceweight alpaca is an interesting alternative. IYou will need approx. 500 m (550 yds) in the main colour and 125 m (137 yds) in the contrasting colour.

Recommended needle: a 3.75 mm (US 5) circular needle, or the size needed to get gauge.

Gauge: 10 cm (4'') in garter stitch = 21 sts x 46 rows (after blocking).

This product contains only the pattern for the design, available as a downloadable pdf-file.
