A buttoned cowl - a small-sized project specifically designed to hone your one-colour brioche stitch skills, including increases and decreases. You can play around with the buttons and wear the cowl in many different ways. Brioche Seeds is designed by Annette Petavy.

The cowl is knitted flat. Size:

27 cm x 57 cm (10.5" x 22.5") after blocking.

The pattern is written only.

Yarn: 2 skeins of Hanfwerk, organic merino and hemp. You will also need 4 buttons. Kits are available.

Needles: A circular needle or a pair of straight needles in size 3.5 mm (US 4) or the size needed to get gauge.

Gauge: 44 rows x 18 sts = 10 x 10 cm (4" x 4") in brioche stitch after blocking
