Rytmik is a fun little design where I wanted to play with the DK weight merino colours and its lovely look in simple stitch patterns such as garter or stockinette stitch. The shoulder-warmer pairs up with a sweater and a pair of jeans as well as a little dress, and the poncho is the perfect spring or autumn garment to throw around your shoulders to ward off the chill.

In both cases Rytmik is knitted from the top down with increases concentrated to specific rows. This makes it possible to adapt its height exactly to your wishes or to the yarn available.

The pattern is entirely written (no charts).

The yarn used to knit Rytmik is the DK weight merino in my shop. You will need three different colours.
For the shoulder-warmer: col A, azalea, 1 ball; col B, charcoal, 3 balls; col C, light grey, 2 balls.
For the poncho : col A, charcoal, 2 balls; col B, light grey, 5 balls; col C, yellow, 3 balls.

Needle: a 4 mm (US 6) circular needle, or the size needed to get gauge.

Gauge: 10 cm = 20 sts and 40 rows in garter stitch after blocking.
