- Out-of-Stock

Genghis Khan 2 is a 100 % yak down yarn spun by the French mill Fonty.
This yarn is sold in 25 g balls, with 150 m (165 yds) in each ball.
The colours are entirely natural, obtained by sorting the fleeces of yaks bred in Mongolia. The only dyed colour is the black.
Yak down is a very soft and warm fiber. It is often compared to cashmere for its warmth and softness.
The spinnery advises us to knit this yarn with a 2 - 2.5 mm needle at a fingering gauge (26 m per 10 cm/4").
I suggest working the yarn with a larger hook or larger needles, for soft, drapey and warm shawls.
