This triangular shawl was specifically designed by EclatDuSoleil/Hélène Marcy to show off multicoloured yarns.

In this shawl Hélène mixes a fingering weight yarn with long colour repeats (like the Mini Mochi) and, in the shawl in the photos, a thin mohair yarn with short colour repeats - the shawl can also be worked using a solid coloured mohair yarn .

The two yarns are knitted togethere in the body of the shawl. The border is crocheted, using only the mohair yarn.

Yarn quantities for the shawl as pictured:
- approx 435 m / 475 yds of a multicoloured sock yarn (such as Mini Mochi)
- approx 500 m / 550 yds of fine mohair yarn

The size of the shawl is easy to adapt to the quantity of yarn available. The stitch patterns are simple, so as to let the yarns play the first role.

Suggested knitting needles: 5.5 mm (US 9)
Suggested crochet hook: 3.5 mm (US E-4)
