Geometry in blue - knitted shawl
This shawl designed by EclatDuSoleil springs from the encounter between a multicoloured and a solid-coloured yarn. Add to this an openwork pattern and geometrical shapes underlined by garter stitch. The result is a shawl that is easy to knit, yet rich with elegant details.
The triangular Geometry in blue is knitted top-down and increases outwards/downwards.
The pattern is written and completed with a chart for the lace stitch pattern.
In the shawl in the photos, EclatDuSoleil used yarn from her own stash. She recommends substituting them with Mini Mochi for the multicoloured yarn and fingering weight merino for the solid-coloured one. You will need 2 balls of each.
Recommended needle: a 4 mm (US 6) circular needle, or the size needed to get gauge.
Gauge: 10 cm in garter stitch = 21 stitches x 44 rows after blocking.
This product contains only the pattern for the design, available as a downloadable pdf-file.
