Bluebird - crochet shawl
Similar to the wing of a giant bird, this shawl will land lightly on your shoulders. To paint its plumage, you can play with the stripes.
Bluebird is worked from the top down, with increases to give the shawl its size and shape. The border is worked right after the center of the shawl. Since it's a simple variation of the center stitch pattern, it's easy to adapt this project in size.
The pattern is written and includes several diagrams.
To make Bluebird, you will need a laceweight mohair blend, such as the one available in the shop. The amounts needed are 60 g for the main colour and 25 g for the contrast colour.
For another look, you can try any other laceweight yarn.
Also, check out this article on my blog for a lovely version using Whirl.
Recommended hook : 3.5 mm (US E-4) - adapt your hook size to the yarn used and your personal way of crocheting.
The pattern uses US terminology.
