The bags are entirely worked in the round, bottom-up. The mosaic crochet technique used here is the "one-row" technique. The pattern includes multiple links to detailed tutorials on this type of mosaic crochet

Measurements:
Small bag: approx 18 cm/7" across, 34 cm/13.5" tall
Large bag: approx 24 cm/9.5" across, 45 cm/17.75" tall

The mosaic motif is explained using a chart only. You can choose between the "universal" chart (applicable to all types of mosaic crochet and knitting) and the "adapted" chart (indicating the placement of the dc's forming the design).

Small bag: 2 balls of solid-coloured organic cotton + 1 ball of multicoloured organic cotton.
Large bag: 3 balls of solid-coloured organic cottoni + 2 balls of multicoloured organic cotton.

Hook:
2.5 mm or the size needed to get gauge.

6 rounds in sc (the first 6 rounds of the bag bottom) = a circle 5.5 cm/2.25" across.
