Squarely - crochet scarf
This pattern is squarely geometric! A stitch pattern developed specifically for this design creates squares in negative space. The square theme is echoed in the pendants at each end of the scarf, worked in the round to be... square. Squarely is a design by Annette Petavy.
The scarf is worked from one end to the other. The border is worked around the scarf, with pendants in lieu of fringe at each end.
The finished scarf is approx 200 cm (78.75") long and 23 cm (9") wide.
The pattern is both written and charted. It includes a step-by-step photo tutorial for the pendants.
The scarf in the photos was crocheted using 2 balls of Zauberball 100, col 2309 Blue Lagoon.
This yarn can be replaced with approx 650 m (710 yds) of another fingering weight wool yarn
Hook: 4 mm (US G-6), or the size needed to get gauge.
Gauge: 9 horizontal pattern repeats (45 sts) = 15 cm (6"); 5 vertical pattern repeats (10 rows) = 10.5 cm (4.25")
The pattern uses US terminology.
This product contains only the pattern for the design, sold as a downloadable pdf file.
