Candide - crochet shawl

This elegant shawl has been designed by EclatDuSoleil/Hélène Marcy specifically for my laceweight yarn London. The delicate stitch pattern in the center contrasts with a denser, more graphic border, where the wool and silk yarn combines finesse with softness.

Size: 160 cm (63") wide x 70 cm (27.5") deep at the tip
Candide is worked top down in one piece.

The written pattern includes chart for both center and border.

This is a pattern for laceweight yarn, made with 2 balls of my London yarn (= 800 m / 880 yds).
The pattern also includes a smaller version using 2 balls of laceweight bamboo (currently unavailaible) (= 600 m / 660 yds).

Hook: 3 mm (US C or D) or the size needed to get gauge.

Gauge: 6 V-motifs (= 1 V-st + ch) x 12 rows after blocking.
