More info

Blueberry pi(e) is a crocheted shawl constructed on the basis of Elizabeth Zimmermanns "pi shawl". Increases are concentrated on specific rows, set apart by severeal rows worked straight. This simple pattern lends itself to all kinds of graphic expressions, and to many types of yarn.

The shawl is worked from the center top down, growing as it progresses thanks to the increase rows.
Size of the finished shawl, after blocking : approx 130 x 52 cm (51.25" x 20.5").

The pattern is written. There is also a chart for the border.

The shawl in the photos was crocheted with 4 balls of fingering weight yarn : 1 ball of fingering weight merinos col damson, 1 ball of Mini Mochi col Tutti Frutti and 2 balls of Mini Mochi col Dynamite. You can of course use the yarn of your choice.

If you purchase the pattern for Blueberry pi(e) at the same time as 4 balls of fingering weight yarn (fingering weight merino, fingering weight alpaca, Mini Mochi, organic cotton), the patterns is free - the price for the pattern will be deducted from your purchase. Make sure to put the pattern for Blueberry pi(e) in your cart when you purchase the yarn.

Hook: 3,5 mm (US E-4) or the size needed to get gauge.

Gauge:

The first 5 rows = a "half circle" that measures 11 cm (4.25") across at the largest place and 5 cm (2") high (slightly stretched).
This being a shawl, slight variations in gauge are not crucial, but can affect the finished size and the amount of yarn needed.

The pattern uses US terminology.

This product contains only the pattern for the design, sold as a downloadable pdf-file.
