Mittemellan - infinity scarf
Mittemellan is a crocheted infinity scarf to be worn in one or two loops around your neck. It is perfect for the seasons "in-between" (that's what "mittemellan" means in Swedish). You will easily learn the two-colour, reversible stitch pattern.
This infinity scarf is worked flat and then assembled with a (magical) twist, clearly explained and illustrated in the pattern.
The finished scarf measures approx. 140 cm (55") around and 20 cm (8") wide.
The pattern is written only, with a photo tutorial for the assembly.
Mittemellan is crocheted in cotton for all those chilly mornings and evenings when wool is too warm but you still need something around your neck. It is, of course, possible to work it in a wool yarn.
The scarf in the photos was made with 2 balls of cotton denim and 2 balls of multicoloured organic cotton from my own brand, Annette Petavy Design.
The yarns cotton denim, organic cotton and multicoloured organic cotton are interchangeable.
You can substitute another cotton yarn, or even a wool yarn, of the same weight. You will need approx. 350 m (385 yds) of each of the 2 colours (= approx. 700 m / 770 yds total).
Kits are available (see international transport options). The pattern is free when you order a kit – please make sure to add the pattern to your cart when ordering a kit. The price for the pattern will be deducted before payment, and you will be sent a download link via email.
Recommended hook: 4 mm (US G-6) or the size needed to get gauge.
Gauge: 20 sts x 24 rows in simplified 2-row mosaic crochet (see pattern).
I recommend working the first rows of the scarf to serve as your gauge swatch.
This product contains only the pattern for the design, sold as a downloadable pdf file.
