Poppaea Shawl - crochet shawl
Build your Poppaea shawl by piling up the triangles, and finish it with a border with crocheted mini pompoms. This design by EclatDuSoleil will wrap around your shoulders like a giant bird's wing, light as a feather in mohair and silk.
Worked top down, the Poppaea shawl is divided in sections where the stitch pattern increases "automatically". The border is worked in the same direction, directly after the body of the shawl. The shawl in the photos has a wingspan of 160 cm/63" and a height of 70 cm/27.5". It's easily adaptable in size, should you choose to use a different yarn.
The written pattern includes charts.
The Poppaea shawl photographed here was crocheted with 4 balls of Annette Petavy Design mohair and silk.
Hook: 3.5 mm (US E-4) or the size needed to get gauge.
Gauge: 10 cm/4" = 3 triangles (at their largest) x 9 rows.
The pattern uses US terminology.
This product contains only the pattern for the design, sold as a downloadable pdf file.
